Hand-crafted incense blend, created to aid in summoning and honoring the ancestors - especially the ancient and unknown ones. I've found that Hekate and the land spirits like it too :)
This incense is self-burning - place sand, dirt or gravel in a fire safe bowl. Place the powder on top, and light.
All ingredients are ethically sourced through personal foraging or supporting growers/suppliers that I trust.
Ingredients:
Mugwort flowers (Artemisia vulgaris)
Cedar bark (Cedrus spp.)
Fir needles (Abies concolor)
Thyme (Thymus vulgaris) - from my herb garden
Copal resin (Shorea javanica)
Makko powder
Fir and Thyme hold personal resonance for my ancestral lineage, and are both well-known aromatic plants for a variety of magical uses - clearing space, calling in health, healing, abundance and longevity.
Thyme - helps us to hold the notion of "time" lightly, and to see the cycle nature of things. Because of this, Thyme can help us to connect with the ancestors, who are beyond time.
Mugwort - a very witchy plant with magical and ceremonial associations all over the world. Considered the "mother of herbs" for her medicinal connection to women's cycles. Holds dark goddess and underworld energy. Communication with the ancestors - especially female ones. Lunar cycles, dreams, magic.
Cedar - used for centuries in ceremony and ritual for energetic cleansing and purification. Connected to the cycles of birth, death and rebirth. Can send ease and peace to those who have deceased. Brings calm and a focused mind.
Copal - derived from the Nahuatl word copalli, meaning "incense". Was used in ancient Mexico as an offering to the gods. Aids meditation and increases psychic insight.
1.35oz clear glass bottle with cork lid.
