Foxglove Flower Essence
Foxglove Flower Essence
Foxglove is a magical plant shrouded in lore. Some say Faeries live in their delicate downturned flowers, others say the name derives from a belief that the Faeries gave the flowers to foxes to wear as gloves, so that they could hunt silently at night.
In Gaelic she is called Lus nam bansíth, or Herb of the Fairy Woman.
This flower essence helps us to connect with the unseen realms. It can even help us overcome our fear of the unknown, and bringing more expansion and softness to our perceptions.
Foxglove was traditionally used internally as a heart tonic, but due to its cumulative toxicity, direct consumption of the plant is ill advised. However, as a flower essence she is perfectly safe, and still carries the medicine of releasing tension in the heart.
This essence is made with the vibrational infusion of Foxglove flowers (Digitalis purpurea) in fresh filtered water. Preserved with botanical Scottish gin and honey.
