My mom loves making books in the "junk" journal style. She puts so much attention into the materials and details, and makes everything with love. She uses high quality paper, card stock, and fasteners, and dyes may of the papers herself with coffee and/or tea, and other plant dyes.
I personally love to use her books in my plant spirit work... not only for journaling and note-keeping, but for holding dried herbs, recipes, rituals, practice notes, and more.
This is a "lap book" style journal, with lots of pockets and papers, and plenty of places to write and make it your own with your mementos and ephemera.
